The New Indian Point Energy Center Alert & Notification System has been approved by The Federal Emergency Management Agency FEMA. The NEW Siren System was placed into service on Wednesday August 27th 2008 at 12:00 noon. This new siren alert notification system provides emergency management officials with a tool for swiftly notifying the public.
